M$43M to be shared among N.C.B Foundation Scholarship & Grant Recipients

18 Jul 2024

Kingston, Jamaica – July 18, 2024: This year, the N.C.B. Foundation celebrates 16 years of educational impact through its Scholarship and Grant Programme. Since 2008, the N.C.B. Foundation has invested over JM$1 billion in education, impacting over 13,500 students at the tertiary (undergraduate), secondary, and primary levels.

“Ensuring that students have a solid foundation for their academic journeys is one way we seek to fulfill our mission of building a better Jamaica,” said N.C.B. Foundation CEO, Sheree Martin. “For our 16-year anniversary, we've increased our programme funding by 10%, giving 270 students access to over JM$43 million to embark on transformative academic journeys,” Martin added.

Academic funding is available for tertiary (undergraduate) students to pursue approved digital programmes at accredited institutions. Primary and secondary students have the opportunity to get book vouchers valued at JM $20,000 and JM $25,000. These vouchers, redeemable at select bookstores, ensure that younger students have access to essential learning materials.

Students are encouraged to visit ncbscholarships.com to learn more about the programme and submit their applications before the deadline this Friday, July 19, 2024.
