N.C.B. FOUNDATION CSEC & CAPE NATIONAL BURSARY PROGRAMME
Since 2003, the National Commercial Bank through its philanthropic arm - N.C.B. Foundation, has been sponsoring examinations in select subject areas offered via the Overseas Examination Commission (OEC) for qualified Jamaican students in both public and private schools across the island. To date, the Foundation has donated over J$242,000,000.00 to enable 109,650 student entries in Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).
The programme works in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information (MOEYI) subsidy to ensure that qualifying students are able to sit the approved examinations at no cost to them and to have the opportunity to meet the minimum subject requirement for admission into accredited tertiary level institutions or advance in the world of work.
