“NCB’s mantra is ‘Building A Better Jamaica’. If this bank is going to be everlastingly successful, it has to take on the ailments of this society. We believe in doing well by doing good.”

*Funds donated in excess of the $150M will not be matched, but will still be used to provide much needed relief to Jamaicans affected by Hurricane Beryl. Donations close on 2:30pm on July 31, 2024.
In the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl, we established the NCB ‘Building A Better Jamaica’ Fund to provide much-needed relief and support to our fellow Jamaicans. While we hope this fund will ultimately support other national relief efforts, we want to start off by lending support to one of Jamaica’s most immediate needs: assistance for victims and damage from the recent hurricane. Our mission is to restore communities, rebuild lives, and help Jamaica emerge stronger. Join us in this critical effort to make a difference.
Let's come together and support each other. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to recovery.
Donations can be made via online transfers between July 5 - July 31, 2024.

To maximise the impact of your generosity, for every dollar you contribute it will be doubled by NCB, effectively doubling the funds available for relief efforts. We've kickstarted the fund with an initial donation of JM$20M, to show you just how committed we are to this cause. Together, we can achieve our goal of raising at least JM$300M to support the restoration and rebuilding of our communities.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) there are two types of partners - Donor/Fund Raising partners and Executing/Project Management partners. Donor partners are established NGOs locally and overseas and Executing partners are local charitable organisations and social development agencies.
The funds raised will be administered by N.C.B. Foundation, ensuring transparency and accountability. Relief work will be executed through our trusted Executing partners, including the Breds Treasure Beach Foundation, Food for the Poor, Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE), and others. These organisations have the expertise and resources to ensure that the aid reaches those who need it most and that the funds are used effectively to support recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Our past worked: In 2002 along with the United Way of Jamaica, NCB matched funds received for a total of JM$23M, restoring and providing relief for over 1,400 households following 11 days of rains across the island.
The NCB ‘Building A Better Jamaica’ Fund is an initiative administered by N.C.B. Foundation to provide disaster relief aid and support recovery efforts for communities in Jamaica. The first initiative focuses on assisting victims of Hurricane Beryl, particularly in the severely affected areas of St. Elizabeth, Clarendon, Hanover, and Manchester.
NCB will match all donations received up to JM$150M. This means that for every dollar donated, NCB will contribute an additional dollar, effectively doubling the total contributions. The goal is to reach at least JM$300M to aid in the disaster relief and recovery efforts.
N.C.B. Foundation has partnered with several reputable organizations to ensure the proper disbursement, accounting, and reporting of funds. These partners include the Breds Treasure Beach Foundation, Food for the Poor, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), among others. These collaborations will help maximize the impact of the relief efforts.
You can make a donation to the NCB ‘Building A Better Jamaica’ Fund from July 5 to July 31, 2024. Donations can be made to the following accounts:
The funds will be used to support the restoration of homes and farmers' crops in the communities affected by Hurricane Beryl. The primary aim is to help these communities recover and rebuild. The fund will also be in place to support other disaster relief efforts in the future, ensuring a sustained impact on community restoration and resilience.
