Open Your First Savings Account

You are minutes away from your first Savings Account. After opening your account online, you may schedule an appointment at any branch to collect your NCB Visa Debit card. It's easy and secure to open your On The Go Standard, Regular Save, Quick Save, Sunshine Savers, Foreign Currency or Gold Club account online.

Here's what you need to know before you get started:

  • Taxpayer Registration Number(TRN)
  • Proof of Valid Identification
    • Driver's License (back and front must be uploaded)
    • National ID (back and front must be uploaded)
    • Passport
  • Contact details for two (2) referees

    • The referees name, telephone contact number(s) and occupation are needed. You may use any 2 of the following:

    • Customer of NCB for at least one (1) year (must not be an immediate family member such as parent, daughter/son, sibling, spouse, in-law, etc.)
    • NCB Manager
    • Minister of Religion
    • Justice of the Peace
    • Employer
    • Another Bank’s Manager
  • Proof of Address
    • Utility Bill – NWC, JPS, Digicel, FLOW (no more than 6 months) Must be in in Applicant's Name
    • Postmarked Envelope (no more than 6 months) with name and address of Applicant
    • National Identification (if address is current home address)
  • Proof of Income/Employment

    • Employed Persons will need one of the following:

    • Letter from employer not more than six months old
    • Pay slip not more than six months old
    • Proof salary being sent to an account for the last three months

    Self-employed Persons will need one of the following:

    Pensioners will need ONE of the following:

    • Letter from Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS)
    • Copy of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Direct Deposit Information form duly signed and witness as per the instructions on the form
    • Copy of customer’s pension cheque book showing customer’s name and amount payable
  • Minimum Opening Deposit
  • J$5000 NCB Regular Save
  • J$5,000 NCB Gold Club (age 55 and over)
  • J$5,000 NCB Chequing Account
  • J$10,000 NCB Sunshine Savers
  • 100 units of foreign currency (US, Can, Pound, Euro)
