What is NCB ePOS?
NCB ePOS (Electronic Point-of-Sale) is an innovative Tap on Phone payment solution that allows merchants to accept card payments from their NFC-enabled Android device.
What is NFC?
NFC (Near Field Communication) allows devices to communicate wirelessly at close range, enabling quick and easy tap-to-pay transactions.
Who is eligible to participate in the promotion?
The promotion is open to both existing and new NCB ePOS merchants who have set up the NCB ePOS app on their devices and process transactions during the promotional period.
How do you enter?
During the promotional period (April 4, 2025 – July 25, 2025), merchants must complete at least 10 transactions per month to qualify for the monthly prizes. To qualify for the grand prize, merchants must complete at least 50 transactions throughout the entire period.
What prizes are available?
Monthly Prizes:
First Place Winner: A cash prize valued at J$100,000.00.
Second Place Winner: One (1) NFC-Enabled Android Phone or Tablet, this will be determined solely by NCB.
Grand Prize:
The Grand Prize Winner will receive the following:
A cash prize valued at J$200,000.00.
A Business Consultancy Package which includes the following:
A Digital Marketing & Online Presence Enhancement Package, which may include website development, social media setup, content creation, and digital marketing strategy consultations.
A Financial & Business Management Consultancy Package, including professional consultation on financial planning, tax preparation, and strategic financial decision-making.
Alternatively, the Grand Prize Winner may receive a cash equivalent of both packages, determined solely by NCB.
How are the winners selected?
Monthly Winners:
First-place winner: NCB ePOS merchant with the highest transaction volume for the month (must exceed 10 transactions).
Second-place winner: NCB ePOS merchant with the second highest transaction volume for the month (must exceed 10 transactions).
In the event of a tie, the merchant with the highest transaction value will be selected.
Grand Prize Winner:
The merchant with the highest transaction volume for the entire Promotional Period (must exceed 50 transactions).
In the event of a tie, the merchant with the highest transaction value will be selected.

Can NCB Employees who are ePOS Merchants enter?
No. Employees or former employees within the last year of any entity within NCB Financial Group Limited and their immediate family members are not eligible.
How are winners selected?
Potential winners will be contacted within five (5) business days of the draw date. They will first be contacted via telephone, followed by email validation.
Each selected potential winner will be called up to three (3) times. If all attempts are unsuccessful, the respective backup winners will then be contacted, also up to three (3) times.
A contact attempt is considered unsuccessful if the call is not answered, receives a busy signal, is dropped, or goes to voicemail on the day of the attempt. No voicemail messages will be left.
Once successfully contacted via telephone, winners will receive an official validation email from NCB confirming their selection.
Please note, NCB won’t contact you to ask you to confirm or share information such as your password, personal identification number (PIN), sixteen-digit card number, card verification value (CVV) or your RSA SecurID Token code.
How do winners collect their prizes?
Selected winners will be required to formally claim their prizes at National Commercial Bank
Jamaica Limited, 32 Trafalgar Road, Kingston. The date and time for collection will be scheduled
and communicated in advance.
If an authorized representative is collecting the prize on behalf of the winner, they must present:
An authorization letter signed by either:
Two directors of the entity, or
One director and the company secretary (or its equivalent).
A valid government-issued photo ID of the authorized representative (Passport, Driver’s License, or Voter’s ID) for validation.
Please note that photos and other recordings will be captured during the prize handover for media
placement. Winners will be informed in advance before the handover date.
Can I transfer or exchange my prize for cash?
No. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. No substitutions or assignments of prizes are allowed, except where NCB provides a cash equivalent for the Grand Prize service packages.
What happens if the winner’s business or personal account is not in good standing?
The winner’s business or personal account with NCB must be in good standing at the time of the draw. If a winner’s account is not in good standing, an alternate winner will be chosen from the backup draws. Good standing for the winner’s business account with NCB means:
The account is active and not dormant or closed.
There are no overdue payments, outstanding fees, or unpaid loans.
The account is not flagged for fraudulent activity or compliance issues.
The business is in compliance with NCB’s policies and regulatory requirements.
Will my name and photograph be used for publicity?
Yes. NCB reserves the right to use winners' names, voices, likeness and photographs for publicity without compensation. If a winner does not agree, the prize will be forfeited.
Is NCB responsible for any liability associated with the prize?
No. NCB is not responsible for any liability, loss, or injury directly or indirectly resulting from accepting the prize.
Can NCB change or withdraw the promotion?
Yes. NCB reserves the right to change or withdraw the promotion at its discretion with the prior approval of the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission.
Am I responsible for taxes on the prize?
Yes. Each participant who wins a prize is solely responsible for any taxes on the value of the prize.
What happens if a prize becomes unavailable?
If a designated prize or benefit is unavailable for any reason, NCB reserves the right to substitute it with another prize, unless prohibited by law.
How long do I have to redeem the Grand Prize service package?
The Grand Prize service package must be redeemed within one (1) year from the date of being awarded. Failure to redeem within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
What if the winner does not show up to claim any of the prizes?
If a selected winner fails to redeem their prize at the designated location on the agreed handover date, the prize will be forfeited and will remain the property of NCB.
In the case of an emergency, the winner must notify NCB as soon as possible. Consideration may be given on a case-by-case basis, subject to NCB’s discretion. If no alternative arrangement is made, the prize will be forfeited.
